



Rupafin 10 Mg 30 Tab
A second-generation antihistamine used for the treatment of allergic conditions. It works by blocking peripheral histamine H1 receptors and inhibiting inflammatory mediators involved in allergic reactions, thereby relieving allergy symptoms.
Indications:
- Allergic rhinitis.
- Chronic idiopathic urticaria.
Main Active Ingredient:
- Rupatadine 10 mg.
Precautions:
- Contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to rupatadine or any component of the formulation.
- Avoid use with grapefruit juice.
- Use with caution in patients with cardiac disorders, prolonged QT interval, electrolyte imbalance, or arrhythmias.
- Not recommended for patients with lactose intolerance.
- Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding only if clearly necessary and prescribed by a physician.
- Store below 25°C, away from moisture and heat.
- Keep out of reach of children.
Side Effects:
- Common side effects include drowsiness, headache, fatigue, dizziness, and dry mouth.
- Uncommon side effects may include gastrointestinal discomfort, nausea, diarrhea, rash, muscle or joint pain, and irritation of the throat or mouth.
Drug–Drug Interactions:
- Strong CYP3A4 inhibitors (such as ketoconazole, itraconazole, clarithromycin) may increase rupatadine plasma levels.
- Alcohol may enhance sedative effects.
- Caution when used with other central nervous system depressants.
